Final Day Friday

Since this is my final post, I am going to take some time to reflect and answer the questions given to me in class. At the start of the class, I really enjoyed learning about the hard code, but when Dreamweaver was intoduced, it was even better. Dreamweaver is basically HTML, only it writes the code for you, so you don’t have to. I liked that but, if it came down to having to use pure hard code to make complicated tables like I was making in dreamweaver, I don’t think I would be able to do it. I think th eplace I most improved in was my organization. I am able to map out a page, before I make it. From my first page, things have changed greatly. I am now using mutiple buttons, links, anchors, colors, and designs. My favorite deasign is my portfolio. I made my portfolio using pure hard code, and I think it looks really cool. Later on in life, I do hope to use this skill at least once. I find that it is a valuable skill, and I enjoyed learning it.

last day hockey trouble

I uploaded everything to webs and everything is life. Unfortunately my main two pages to my hockey site went mysteriously missing. This is terribly saddening to me for how much time I spent. If I find the person who deleted those files, they’re going to learn a lesson they won’t forget. I put a lot of time and effort into that page and I am pretty angered that it is gone. Otherwise, everything went well. I really enjoyed this class and the skills I learn, I believe, will come in handy.

Today I finished the critiques! Tomorrow they will be lieve and ready to go. I hope for the same with the hockey page. Only tomorrow will tell. Until then…….

Today I kept plugging through the critiques and I am almost done. I have no idea what I am going to do about the hockey page. i will figure that out tomorrow as well as finish my critiques.

Today I did yet another critique. I liked the site that I went on and I only have a couple more critiques left until I am done completely. I still need to work on the hockey site and I hope to get that done by wednesday.

Critique Wednesday

Today I worked on critiques. I enjoyed the sites that I visited, especially the one about the himmalaya hiking. They had detailed hiking guides and stories about people’s trips. Besides the critiques, I planned what I wil do to finish the hockey site.

Publisher Tuesday

Today I made my publisher page. I thought the final product came out rather well. I still like using Dreamweaver becuase it includes the hard code and seems the least noobie. Publisher would be my last choice to make a web page. I will post it live in my portfolio tomorrow and I am hoping to finish all of my critiques. I have nothing else to say, so I am signing off.

Today was not a very productive day. I worked on a critique and I started my publisher project. i hop eto finish the critique tomorrow and get a good chunk of my publisher project done tomorrow. Besides that, nothing else occured. UNTIL TOMORROW!………..

Today I ran out of things to do. I worked on my hockey page a bit and on Ms. Pavao’s page a bit. I really didn’t get too much done but at least it was something. I will be out tomorrow because of the Senior breakfast so enjoy your Holliday.

Nerds II

Today we watched part two of Triumph of the Nerds. I thought this portion was much better than the first. Operating systems always interrested me and this episode got me going. This episode forcused on Microsoft and how they developed windows. DOS was the major operating system and Bill Gates worked on DOS and created his own operating system using a “clone” of DOS created by Bill Patterson. They bought this from him for a small lump sum of $50,000 today probably cauculating to $200,000. This small deal turned into a $100 billion coperation, thats $100,000,000,000. Six additional zeros. If I were Bill Patterson, I would be, for a lack of a better term, T.O.’ed. I’m sure that Gates has sent some pity money to Patterson, but still. The episode concludes with the into to the development to the GUI (graphical user interface) that microsoft “created”, or stole from Apple who stole from Xerox.
